I grew up in the Far East surrounded by two enlightened figures: Jesus and the Buddha. As a young child, a crucifix hung above my bed, while three star gods of Chinese folklore graced the sideboard of my home, and incense wafted through tree-filled parks and humble temples that housed effigies of ascension. And yet, it was a Native American spirit guide that met my two-year-old self in dreams, ensuring I grew up with abstract memories of a culture nearer the country I was born in. From West to East, to somewhere in the middle, 'between worlds' is all I've known and I am grateful for its riches, for between worlds is where we discover we are each merely chapters of a great and epic story." |
About Dianna
Dianna was born in Bahia, Brazil; spent her early years in Macau; her youth in England; and has "walked between worlds" ever since she was a child, speaking to spirits and angels for as long as she can remember. Being highly intuitive and needing an outlet for her creativity, it made complete sense that life led her to drama school after her 'A' levels, and then onto the more mystical side of life when she discovered the Tarot as an invaluable tool for honing her spiritual guidance; and finding shamanism in 2001 was like coming home in many ways. Her interest in complementary and alternative medicine began in 2002 when she began working for Neal's Yard Remedies in Guildford. The ability to fully embrace responsibility for her own life and health was a revelation and healing in itself.
Life took some interesting turns after five years in the natural medicines world. She found herself living on the borders of London/Surrey with a beautiful man, bringing a brand new soul into the world in the form of their star warrior daughter (now nearly 13!). After their daughter's birth, Dianna kept one foot in the natural health world as she stepped into a new creative venture: writing and publishing fiction. Life flourished in many ways as a fairly successful independent author and those ten years of her life, fuelling her intuitive flair into words, was quite a journey of its own which she cherishes.
However, her spirit guides had other ideas when in early 2019, they "told" her to leave the writing for a while and come back to her healing work with others; that this would be very much needed in the world and in the future. Having always listened to her guides, she did just that, manifesting her local shamanic practice as Kia Ora Lounge in Summer, 2019, just after receiving her Munay-Ki rites for this new phase of her life. Well, things really took off from there. More recently, she is thrilled to be able to bring the healing power of plants more fully into her practice in the form of herbalism.

What is the Path of Heart?
It is a concept of mastery and clear vision, and unbinding oneself from social conditioning, for the heart sees all as it is, free from lies and deceit. Found in Toltec shamanism this philosophy and practice is a result of mastering the Path of Power and the Path of Freedom as well as three levels of Attention, all of which allow you to live in Total Awareness and become a Master of Intent (that's quite a short summary!). This is the aim of the true Spiritual Warrior. Dianna was initiated as a Shamanic (Spiritual) Warrior after her training in 2002 and has consciously strived to walk the Path of Heart since then.
Heart Warrior Herbs is an ode to all she has learnt on that winding path, a reminder to always ask herself does this path have heart? and an offering to support you as you walk your own Path of Heart.
